THE ARC LANCASTER LEBANON - PROGRAMS

Programs are underwritten by memberships, donations, and grants and supported by Lancaster County BHDS and Lebanon County MH/ID/EI, allowing us to offer our services at no charge. Program Outreach Flyer (PDF)

ADVOCACY: EDUCATIONAL AND ADULT
An advocate is available year-round to assist individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Autism, and their families. We work with you to make sure your voice is heard and concerns are addressed. Need Advocacy Assistance? Fill in the form , and someone will get back to you for intake.

FAMILY SUPPORT: for Parents of Children with IDD or Autism
Helping families and individuals dream and plan for an everyday life utilizing the LifeCourse Tools, natural supports, and community resources to help plan for a full and rewarding life. Flyer (PDF)

THE ARC ACADEMY: Self-Advocate and Empowerment Group
Helping adults with IDD or Autism learn skills necessary for everyday life and meet new people in a classroom-style setting. Flyer (PDF)

SIB TALK:
A fun gathering for kids ages 8-11 and 12-15 who have a sibling with a disability. This time includes peer support, discussions, snacks, games, activities, and opportunities to meet others. Flyer (PDF)

COMMUNITY EDUCATION
Working collaboratively with community partners to offer trainings and webinars on topics of interest to people with disabilities and their support network

ARC ANGEL
Organizing and connecting community givers in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties with people with IDD who need holiday gifts in collaboration with Support Coordinator Organizations. Flyer (PDF)

DIVERSE ABILITIES TRAINING (DAT) FOR SCHOOLS
Presentations for schools to help children in grades K-6 achieve a greater understanding and acceptance of their peers with disabilities, using grade-specific information to show that all people have value.

INDEPENDENT MONITORING FOR QUALITY (IM4Q)
Monitoring teams interview people receiving services through the PA Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) about the quality of their lives using state and national standardized surveys to gather information and evaluate the quality of Medicaid Waiver services. Monitors are hired as Independent Contractors, and people with disabilities and family members are encouraged to learn more about how to become a monitor by emailing abby@thearclancleb.org.

OUR FOCUS
The Arc Lancaster Lebanon is here to support individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Autism and their families as they navigate the often complex system of services and funding. We help connect people with resources, answer questions, solve problems, and make sure their voices are heard at the local and state levels.

We work alongside individuals and families to learn what matters most to them and what a meaningful life looks like. Together, we identify the supports, resources, and opportunities needed to help make those goals a reality.

We believe every person has value and equal worth, and it benefits our community when people with disabilities are included. We work to reduce barriers, promote inclusion, and help people with disabilities participate fully in their communities and achieve their goals.
